General Information Collection
Wake AHEC tracks and collects general information regarding the use of this site. Information such as which pages are visited, the length of time visitors stay on the site, the browsers visitors use, and the times people log on to the site, is collected in aggregate and not applied to specific visitors. Such information may be shared, in aggregate, to help others determine how the site is used and what can be done to make it more helpful to our audience.
You may use the Wake AHEC web site without providing any personal information. However, you may be asked to provide personal information if you choose to complete an on-line form. If you ask us a question and supply your email address, or if you register on our website, you are authorizing us to respond to you with an unencrypted e-mail message. Surveys and Questionnaires
Our online surveys and questionnaires may ask visitors for contact and demographic information. The customer's contact information is used to contact the visitor when necessary. Wake AHEC’s registration system requires users to give us contact information such as their name and e-mail address, and demographic information such as address and ZIP code. The customer's contact information is used to contact the visitor when necessary and to track participation and transactions. Users may choose (opt-in) to receive future mailings; see the choice/opt-in section below. Demographic and profile data is also collected on our site. We use this data to tailor the visitor's experience on our site.
Some Wake AHEC site features may use applications to collect data to facilitate online registration or an e-commerce transaction. Wake AHEC may store this information to verify the transaction for customer service and accounting reasons and may use this information to help personalize your experience on the Wake AHEC site. Name and address information collected by Wake AHEC are transmitted to First Data Global Gateway Connect to facilitate the credit card process. Credit card numbers used for these transactions are collected on a form hosted and processed by FirstData Global Gateway Connect, who verifies and processes payments. Credit card numbers are not captured or stored on the Wake AHEC site or in our database.
