In affiliation with the University of
North Carolina, School of Medicine, Department of Psychiatry and UNC
School of Social Work, Wake AHEC provides continuing education,
program technical assistance, and clinical case consultation to the
administrations and clinical staff of area mental health centers
located in the region. Wake AHEC supports the community
psychiatry residencies of UNC School of Medicine students in several
sites throughout the region.
Wake AHEC is an NBCC-Approved Continuing Education Provider (ACEPTM)
and may offer NBCC-approved clock hours for events that meet NBCC
requirements. The ACEP is solely responsible for all aspects of the
program.
