Title: | 2025 Mini Medical School in Franklin County (Louisburg) |
Description: | What would it be like to train for a career in the medical field? Wake AHEC’s Mini-Medical School Summer Camp, in conjunction with Vance-Granville Community College, is an intensive, week-long day camp that uses computational science (computer simulation) and hands-on activities (dissection) to study key aspects of medicine. Topics include anatomy & physiology, biochemistry, pharmacology, neurology, cardiology, mental health, epidemiology, medical genetics, and genomics. In addition, students will become CPR certified and participate in basic first-aid scenarios. Participants must have strong motivation to learn and an interest in health careers. |
