Wake AHEC’s Mini-Medical School, Virtual Edition, is a live intensive, online program that uses computational science (computer simulation) and hands-on activities (dissection) to study key aspects of medicine. Topics include anatomy & physiology, biochemistry, pharmacology, epidemiology, a health career roundtable with professionals, and CPR instruction. (Please note due to the online nature of the program, this is CPR instruction, but not a certification.) The course is taught by Becky Brady, a registered nurse and chemical engineer, as well as guest speakers. Students must have strong motivation to learn and an interest in health careers |
