Description:  Human Trafficking continues to be a widespread crime in the United States as well as in North Carolina. While our ability to recognize signs of and understand factors leading to human trafficking have improved over the last several years, there is still much room for improvement with regards to interventions and collaboration among stakeholders. This conference seeks to explore the current state of Human Trafficking in North Carolina, increase provider cultural competency when working with people who have experienced human trafficking, and assist providers in identifying resources in the community that can be beneficial when working with survivors.
