Society to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
The mission of Wake AHEC is to increase the knowledge, skills, resources,
diversity and distribution of healthcare providers. The mission of the
CME/Quality Division of Wake AHEC is to improve healthcare for both individual
patients and populations through the provision of excellent, outcomes oriented
education and quality improvement activities. Our target audiences for these
activities are physicians and healthcare team members residing or working within
the Wake AHEC nine-county region. We offer a range of activities including
regularly scheduled series, workshops, conferences and practice-based
improvement programs and we commit to exploring other educational delivery
methods for meeting our audience’s needs. The educational content we provide is
up-to-date and evidenced-based for clinical, practice-based and professional
