Resources for Spanish and Cultural
Competency
In response
to the tremendous growth of the Latino population in North Carolina,
the NC AHEC Program secured special funding from the Duke Endowment
to provide resources to health providers to increase competency
in working with Latino clients and patients. The 3-year grant expired
in Spring of 2001, however, some resources remain in the region.
Those interested in programming in these areas should contact Wake
AHEC’s customer service team at (919) 350-8547.
Resources include:
The North Carolina AHEC
Latino Health Resource Center.
