Title:  * Canceled * - Interpreter Certification Preparation Workshop
Description:  This four hour workshop is designed for those who plan to take the Interpreter Certification Exam. Focus will be on effective pre-session, exposure to multiple choice questions following the format of those in the exam, and accurate and culturally effective interpreted role plays which follow the format of the role plays in the exam.

Audience:  Who Should Attend? 1.Individuals who are bilingual (English-Spanish). 2.Those who have attended FOUNDATIONS OF PROFESSIONAL INTERPRETATION FOR HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES (formerly level I), after June 2007 through the NC AHEC system 3.Those who attended Interpreter Training Level I (prior to June 2007) and Interpreter Update Training through the NC AHEC system in collaboration with CNNC.

Objectives:  1. Participants will be able to identify the 9 Principles.
  2. Participants will be able to explain the difference between Principles and Standards.
  3. Participants will be able to match at least one Principle to its corresponding Standards
  Identify traditional folk remedies or beliefs that may impact client compliance with treatment.
