| Title: | * Canceled * - Interpreter Update Training |
| Description: | A four hour training designed to provide participants with new and additional information included in the current interpreter training. Attendees will be exposed to the NCIHC’s Standards of Practice and will engage in interactive activities that will encourage them to apply the Standards of Practice to challenging ethical dilemmas. This additional information is essential for successful ethical interpreting practice and is the focus of the upcoming certification exam. Prerequisite: Fluent in English and other language(s), and Interpreter Training Level I Prior to June 2007. Persons who have the Foundations of Professional Interpretation for Health and Human Services, after 2007 may want to take this training for additional practice. |

| Audience: | Who Should Attend? 1. Those who have taken Interpreter Training Level I, prior to June, 2007. 2. Those who have taken the Foundation of Professional Interpretation for Health and Human Services ( after July of 2007) and wish to strengthen their knowledge and skills. Who Should NOT Attend? This training is not open to individuals who have never taken an interpreter training, regardless of the fact that they may have been working as an interpreter for any period of time. |
